Do you know what print media’s special reading experience is? Do you love the weight, sound, tactility, smell or enjoyment of print media? And do you know they have a close relation to print media’s existence?
Whether print media will die or not is a focus issue today. This attributes to the rapid and prosperous development of digital media and especially the Internet. I believe most of us are now spending more time acquiring news and knowledge in digital media than before. We can see plenty of friends and strangers around us reading books, news or ads via their smart phones, Kindles, tablets, PCs and as well as the public digital screens. For publishers and marketers, they are paying close attention to digital media and may perform their work with the help of this “hot stuff” more frequently. All in all, it seems less and less people will continue using print media. BUT, will print media die? Of course they will NOT, at least within a relatively long time period. In my opinion, this is due to their special reading experience.
